What can I help with?
It may be you have had a low mood, anxiety, depression, anger or just feeling ‘stuck’ at this point in your life. I would love to work with you to find a sense of calm in your life and offer tools and knowledge that will enable you to feel differently. It may be you have a mild phobia or have experienced a trauma that is impacting your everyday life. I would like to help you come to a place where you once more feel in control of your emotions and reactions. What type of therapy am I offering? It is short-term, solution focused therapy (typically 4-8 sessions). All the techniques are evidence based and work with our brains and body natural responses.
Human givens psychotherapy offers practical, solution-focused help that deals with mental and emotional distress in the here and now. I won’t waste your time just endlessly listening to you or attempting to dredge up real or imagined miserable memories from the past. My psychotherapy training ensures that I have a sound body of evidence-based knowledge and the proven skills to help both adults and children as quickly as possible with a wide variety of emotional and behavioural difficulties. Aa a human givens practitioner, I will focus on helping my clients to identify their unmet emotional needs and empower them to meet these needs by activating their own natural resources in new ways. To do this I use a variety of up-to-date, proven techniques aimed at problem solving.
The therapy sessions I have had with Marta have allowed me to cope with difficult events from the past that are beyond my control.
By dealing with past trauma, I’m better equipped to react calmly to unexpected and stressful events occurring now and not spiral into anxious thought patterns and feelings of helplessness.
Marta is a wonderful therapist who listens intently, her insightful questions help establish the core issues and allow us to deal with them effectively. She is careful to establish trust and make you feel safe even when recounting traumatic events.
She gives practical advice which translates well into real life situations, and this has benefited me enormously.

I had never been to a therapist before so I was feeling a bit apprehensive and nervous before my first session. However, Marta immediately made me feel at ease with her calm and friendly manner. Over several therapy sessions Marta helped me feel so comfortable and reassured that I felt I could open up about feelings and emotions that I had previously suppressed and struggled to deal with, this lead to an acknowledgement and acceptance that has helped me so much. As a result, I managed to cope with a very difficult period of time in my life much better than I would have done otherwise. Following the therapy sessions I felt like a weight had been lifted and it has given me skills to improve my self awareness and to be more resilient. I also found some of the visualisation and meditation techniques so powerful that they have made a lasting impression on me. Self Sabotage Hypnotherapy sessions:
My issues are pretty complex and I signed up for a block of 6 sessions with Marta. Wasn't expecting miracles. Before the sessions I found it hard to focus on my goals such as business, health and had trouble managing my emotions.
Although life isn't magically perfect I must say the transformation over these 6 weeks are massive
I started running and still going regularly (never been exercising in my life before)
Eating habits have improved
I'm laser focused on my business (which has always been an issue. I even deleted whatsapp and facebook which were the two apps I was very addicted to.
I see things from another perspective now, especially with my partner. I understand him more.
I'm more determined than ever before to achieve my goals in relationships, as a mother and professionally. I can see, touch and feel it now.
Things that do not bring value to my life are now in the bin. I'm actually crying of joy and excitement because I can feel a new chapter in my life starting now.

I have an awful lot to thank Marta for helping me stop smoking. I smoked for almost 20 years and tried many times to quit before I decided to take a couple of hypnotherapy sessions to quit. After the first session I was able to quit and at the second session I learned new tools to cope with my anxiety which was the main reason why I couldn’t stop smoking.
